Encompass New Opera Theatre

Encompass New Opera Theatre (ENOT) is a professional opera company located in New York City, NY and is a member of Opera America.[1] The company's purpose is to create, develop, and produce original opera and musical theater works. To date ENOT has mounted more than 50 fully staged operas with orchestra and over 150 staged readings of original works, from jazz and cabaret to musicals and opera. The company is currently working on producing a brand new opera entitled The Theory of Everything by composer John David Earnest. The production of this opera has been funded through the coveted Access to Artistic Excellence grant given by The National Endowment for the Arts (NEA). ENOT is currently led by Artistic Director Nancy Rhodes, Music Director John Yaffé, and Assistant music Director Mara Waldman.[2]
