The Enchanted Forest Chronicles is a series of four young adult fantasy novels by Patricia C. Wrede entitled Dealing with Dragons, Searching for Dragons, Calling on Dragons, and Talking to Dragons.

[edit] Dealing with Dragons

In which Princess Cimorene of the kingdom of Linderwall decides that being a princess is too tedious and confining, and leaves home to work for the dragon Kazul.

In which Cimorene meets the King of the Enchanted Forest and they collaborate to rescue the King of the Dragons.

[edit] Calling on Dragons

In which the witch Morwen, several of her cats, and the magician Telemain help Cimorene and Mendanbar battle the wizards for possession of the castle of the Enchanted Forest -- and all its lands.

[edit] Talking to Dragons

In which Daystar, Cimorene and Mendanbar's son, is sent off into the forest with a sword and no knowledge of his heritage to rescue his father from the wizards' imprisoning spell.
