I have amended the article to cite the earliest authority to be found for the phrase "en ventre sa mere" in legal language. The concept did not originate in the 1972 Australian case as it was used at least as far back as the nineteenth century but (given its French name) probably far earlier. The Australian case is relevant to the extension of the use of this concept from testate/intestate succession to compensation claims. Francobriton 21:24, 18 September 2007 (UTC)
