"Consort Cao was forced to commit suicide", how, precisely, were they "forced"?

In Consort Cao's case, Emperor Cheng sent an eunuch to deliver poison to her, and then she took it herself, so it was a "suicide" in the sense that she was not poisoned by forcefeeding, but it was forced in the sense that that was the implication -- if she didn't drink it herself, she would suffer a worse death. --Nlu (talk) 15:08, 30 June 2006 (UTC)
