[edit] Migrant traders
- In November Notices of demolition is served to all Circle Bakote and Murree traders and shopkeepers who had migrated to Karachi to vacate their shops and stores before 7th of Dec, 2006. They formed an Action Committee and held a meeting with a Nazim of Karachi Syed Mustafa Kamal and DCO Fazal-u-Rehman to explain their grievances. They were told that the government of Karachi will provide them shelters on an ad hoc basis - but will have to be moved again following further development work. The traders and shopkeepers were not satisfied with this, more than 1,500 migrants labourers from Circle Bakote will lose their jobs if this decision takes place.
