The Empresa Brasileira de Pesquisa Agropecuária (EMBRAPA) (Brazilian Enterprise for Research on Farming and Cattle Raising) is a state-owned company affiliated to the Brazilian Ministry of Agriculture, which is devoted to pure and applied research on agriculture.

it has developed an acidic-soil adapted soybean plant, which may help Brazil to become the world's number one soybean exporter [1]
