[edit] Beliefs

Caligula is a practitioner of LaVeyan Satanism, and has also openly rejected National Socialist Black Metal. However, although like most conventional black metal musicians he has generally assumed an apolitical stance, he has at times highlighted mutual contempt for Osama bin Laden. [1]

[edit] Controversy

[edit] Peru Incident

Prior to a venue in Peru in October 2006, Caligula had high fever and required medicinal treatment. That night, Dark Funeral had to perform without him, and consequently a riot broke out. After the show had finished, the band's gear was confiscated.
