Emmelshausen is a municipality in the Rhein-Hunsrück district, in Rhineland-Palatinate, Germany. It is situated in the Hunsrück, approx. 25 km south of Koblenz.
Although small in size, it is the most important settlement in the immediate area with many amenities including the Schulzentrum (collection of three schools), railway station, swimming pool and sports hall. It also benefits from its location near the Hunsrückhohenstrasse, Frankfurt-Hahn airport and popular walking and biking routes.
Emmelshausen is the seat of the Verbandsgemeinde ("collective municipality") Emmelshausen.
