[edit] Duplicate images uploaded

Thanks for uploading Image:CarolRealini.jpg. A machine-controlled robot account noticed that you also uploaded the same image under the name Image:Carol Realini.jpg. The copy called Image:Carol Realini.jpg has been marked for speedy deletion since it is redundant. If this sounds okay to you, there is no need for you to take any action.

This is an automated message- you have not upset or annoyed anyone, and you do not need to respond. In the future, you may save yourself some confusion if you supply a meaningful file name and refer to 'my contributions' to remind yourself exactly which name you chose (file names are case sensitive, including the extension) so that you won't lose track of your uploads. For tips on good file naming, see Wikipedia's image use policy. If you have any questions about this notice, or feel that the deletion is inappropriate, please contact User:Staecker, who operates the robot account. Staeckerbot 20:00, 4 September 2007 (UTC)

[edit] License tagging for Image:CarolRealini2.jpg

Thanks for uploading Image:CarolRealini2.jpg. Wikipedia gets thousands of images uploaded every day, and in order to verify that the images can be legally used on Wikipedia, the source and copyright status must be indicated. Images need to have an image tag applied to the image description page indicating the copyright status of the image. This uniform and easy-to-understand method of indicating the license status allows potential re-users of the images to know what they are allowed to do with the images.

For more information on using images, see the following pages:

This is an automated notice by OrphanBot. If you need help on selecting a tag to use, or in adding the tag to the image description, feel free to post a message at Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. 22:06, 5 September 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Image copyright problem with Image:CarolRealini.jpg

Image Copyright problem

Thank you for uploading Image:CarolRealini.jpg. However, it currently is missing information on its copyright status. Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously. It may be deleted soon, unless we can determine the license and the source of the image. If you know this information, then you can add a copyright tag to the image description page.

If you have any questions, please feel free to ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thanks again for your cooperation. Shell babelfish 18:12, 7 September 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Your recent edits

Hi, there. In case you didn't know, when you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion, you should sign your posts by typing four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment. On many keyboards, the tilde is entered by holding the Shift key, and pressing the key with the tilde pictured. You may also click on the signature button Image:Wikisigbutton.png located above the edit window. This will automatically insert a signature with your name and the time you posted the comment. This information is useful because other editors will be able to tell who said what, and when. Thank you! --SineBot 16:54, 11 September 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Manual of style

Please look over the Manual of style for guidelines on how to properly format a Wikipedia article. You can see here how I made a few minor changes to get you started. You don't have to use underlines in between words to link to an article (that's just how it's rendered in a URL). The only time you have to use the pipe (|) convention in a link is if the you're linking to a subject that has multiple entries. Example: let's say you wanted to link to the punk band "Fear." If you just link to Fear, you'll get the general definition, so instead, you can link to Fear (band), but if you don't want the "(band)" to show up in the link, do [[Fear (band)|Fear]]. Thanks, OhNoitsJamie Talk 16:56, 11 September 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Carol Realini

I've tagged Carol Realini for advertisement and cleanup. Cleanup, referring to the need to apply Wikipedia's manual-of-style changes to the article. The advertisement tag refers to the fact that the article is not written in a neutral point of view manner. For example, the sentence, "Carol Realini is a imaginative pioneer whose foresight and business acumen have built companies that have changed the landscape of our daily lives." is highly subjective. Sentences like that should not be used unless you are quoting a reliable source, e.g., "Joe Schmo from Business 2.0 described Realini as "...an imaginative pioneer whose foresight and business acumen have built companies that have changed the landscape of our daily lives." Cheers, OhNoitsJamie Talk 17:00, 11 September 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Carol Realini

Remember that this is an encyclopedia. The key thing to esatblish first of all is that the subject is notable., which seems to be the case, but that the information can be explained from a neutral point of view. Look at the opening lines of Steve Jobs "...is the co-founder, chairman and CEO of Apple Inc., and was the CEO of Pixar Animation Studios until it was acquired by the Walt Disney Company in 2006.". Pretty neutral facts. Your article started with "...is an imaginative pioneer who has built recognized companies including ". Who says she is imaginative? Where are the sources for that?. The Steve Jobs article then moves to "Early Years". Your's was almost a bulleted lists of achivement between ceratin dates, exactly like a CV, hence my deletion. Further on, there was a whole heading "Making a Difference". That's promotional, not a heading you would expect in an encyclopedia. If it helps I can recreate the article to your user space for you to work on it? It will save you re-typing it. You should also review WP:BLP, WP:RS, WP:CITE and possibly WP:COI to help you get the article so it is encyclopedic. Let me know how I can help further. Pedro :  Chat  16:10, 6 December 2007 (UTC)
