[edit] Image Tagging Image:VympelSpeznaz.jpg

Thanks for uploading Image:VympelSpeznaz.jpg. I notice it currently doesn't have an image copyright tag, so its copyright status is therefore unclear. Please add a tag to let us know its copyright status. (If you created/took the picture then you can use {{gfdl}} to release it under the GFDL. If you can claim fair use use {{fairuse}}.) See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use. If you have uploaded other images, please check that you have tagged them, too. Note that any unsourced and untagged imaged will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thanks so much. --Michael 09:11, 1 October 2005 (UTC)

[edit] Portal:Russia

Hi there. Thanks for the Georgian ribbon, I requested this page to be started a long time ago. Don't you think that Ribbon of Saint George is the more appropriate name, as it has nothing to do with Caucasian or American Georgia, nor with British regal Georges? Anyway, please announce your new articles on Portal:Russia/New article announcements and discuss other Russia-related issues on Portal:Russia/Russia-related Wikipedia notice board. You may even want to add these boards to your watchlist. Happy edits, Ghirla -трёп- 15:25, 15 March 2006 (UTC)

Agree. It seemed at first more natural to follow the Russian grammatical pattern, where георгиевская is used as an adjective, but you're absolutely right of course. Thanks for amending and redirecting the page anew. Will try to announce any new article on the relevant portal in the future! Emigrant123 11:06, 17 March 2006 (UTC)

[edit] DYK

Updated DYK query Did you know? has been updated. A fact from the article Ribbon of Saint George, which you recently created, has been featured in that section on the Main Page. If you know of another interesting fact from a recently created article, then please suggest it on the "Did you know?" talk page.

[edit] Image Tagging Image:OSNAZRus12.jpg

Warning sign
This media may be deleted.

Thanks for uploading Image:OSNAZRus12.jpg. I notice the 'image' page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you have not created this media yourself then there needs to be an argument why we have the right to use the media on Wikipedia (see copyright tagging below). If you have not created the media yourself then it needs to be specified where it was found, i.e., in most cases link to the website where it was taken from, and the terms of use for content from that page.

If the media also doesn't have a copyright tag then one should be added. If you created/took the picture, audio, or video then the {{GFDL-self}} tag can be used to release it under the GFDL. If you believe the media qualifies as fair use, consider reading fair use, and then use a tag such as {{Non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair_use. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other media, consider checking that you have specified their source and copyright tagged them, too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any unsourced and untagged images will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. Shyam (T/C) 19:18, 26 March 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Unspecified source for Image:AlphaEquipmentNewRussia.jpg

Thanks for uploading Image:AlphaEquipmentNewRussia.jpg. I notice the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you have not created this file yourself, then there needs to be an argument why we have the right to use it on Wikipedia (see copyright tagging below). If you did not create the file yourself, then you need to specify where it was found, i.e., in most cases link to the website where it was taken from, and the terms of use for content from that page.

If the file also doesn't have a copyright tag, then one should be added. If you created/took the picture, audio, or video then the {{GFDL-self}} tag can be used to release it under the GFDL. If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Fair use, use a tag such as {{Non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair_use. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their source and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link. Unsourced and untagged images may be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. [edit] Image copyright problem with Image:Georgian ribbon2.jpg

Image Copyright problem

Thank you for uploading Image:Georgian ribbon2.jpg. However, it currently is missing information on its copyright status. Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously. It may be deleted soon, unless we can determine the license and the source of the image. If you know this information, then you can add a copyright tag to the image description page.

If you have any questions, please feel free to ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thanks again for your cooperation. Ptr ru 09:42, 10 May 2007 (UTC)
