Emily Winter

Emily Winter is an English actress who has starred in many notable plays, mostly in Scotland. She is a favorite of theatre critics.

Emily was born in Dorset and grew up with her mother Peggy in the Wiltshire village of Derry Hill. She attended the John Bentley School before going to Drama School. She later moved to Scotland to pursue her acting career.

On the stage Winter has starred in Cinderella, Pygmalion, Sleeping Beauty, Pericles, The Promise, and The Rover amongst others. She is currently a member of the Dundee Rep ensemble with whom she has performed in The Graduate, Peter Pan, The Seagull, The Winter's Tale and Cabaret. Winter has also appeared in several television shows, including The Camera Never Lies, Strathblair, The Return and the Word, and The High Life as well as the film Close.

Emily is notable for the rave reviews which she has received for her performances.
The Guardian described her performance in Flora the Red Menace as: "stunning: barely off the stage, she drives the production forward with unaffected energy, her acting matching the range of her singing, from the vigorous paean to individualism I Am Me to the heart-break of It's a Quiet Thing." and gave the production their highest rating.[1]
