Emiliano Sanchez (born 9 December 1977 in Buenos Aires, Argentina) is an international speedway rider. He has been the National Speedway Champion of both Argentina and Italy.[1]
He represented Italy in the 2003, 2004 and 2005 Speedway World Cup and 2005 European Pairs Speedway Championship.
For the 2007 season, Emiliano has joined the newly reformed Birmingham Brummies, who ride at the Perry Barr Greyhound racing track, on loan from Sheffield Tigers.
The Brummies are his third British Premier League club in three seasons. After starting his UK career at Glasgow Tigers, he moved to Trelawny Tigers, where he won the Premier Trophy.
In 2004, his first season at Hull Vikings, proved to be very successful as he was part of the team which won the Premier League, the Young Shield and the Knockout Cup. Emiliano also became the Italian National Champion to add to the Argentinian National Championship he had previously won.
In the 2006 season he rode for Sheffield Tigers who made the final of the Premier League playoffs, finishing as runners-up to King's Lynn Stars.[2]
