Emil Puhl

Dr. Emil Puhl (August 28, 1889 - 1962) was a Nazi economist and banking official during World War II. He was director and vice-president of Germany's Reichsbank during World War II and also served as a director for the Bank for International Settlements (BIZ) at Basel (Switzerland). He was instrumental in moving Nazi gold during the war. At the Nuremberg Trials, he was convicted of war crimes and sentenced to five years' imprisonment.
