Emil Botta (b. 15 September 1911, Adjud, d. 24 July 1977, Bucharest) was a Romanian actor.
Botta's acting career ended as a result of his heavy drinking. However he did continue to write poetry and is one of the writers of the 1960's whose work is recognized as a solid landmark of contemporary Romanian literature.
He is considered to compare favorably to Lucian Blaga, a Romanian poet and playwright who is much more accessible in English translation.
Botta is a 1930 graduate of the Dramatical Art Conservatory of Bucharest.
