Emigrant Lake is an 806-acre (3.26 km²) reservoir located 5 miles (8.0 km) southeast of Ashland, Oregon.[1] It has an elevation of 2,241 feet (683 m) above sea level.[2] Emigrant Lake dam stands 204 feet (62 m) above the surrounding farmland, and is located on the west side of the lake. However, the spillway is located at the northern tip of the lake. Emigrant Lake is fed by Emigrant Creek in the southeast, and the outflow at the spillway is also named Emigrant Creek. The dam was built in 1924 by the Talent Division of the Rogue River Basin Project,[3] and rebuilt in 1960.[4]
