[edit] Image copyright problem with Image:Emcee Rival.jpg
Thank you for uploading Image:Emcee Rival.jpg. However, it currently is missing information on its copyright status. Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously. It may be deleted soon, unless we can determine the license and the source of the image. If you know this information, then you can add a copyright tag to the image description page.
If you have any questions, please feel free to ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thanks again for your cooperation. NOTE: once you correct this, please remove the tag from the image's page. STBotI 10:32, 9 August 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Duplicate images uploaded
Thanks for uploading Image:Emcee Rival.jpg. A machine-controlled robot account noticed that you also uploaded the same image under the name Image:M 0deaf0491c03dda4fbb7f5f74696a560.jpg. The copy called Image:M 0deaf0491c03dda4fbb7f5f74696a560.jpg has been marked for speedy deletion since it is redundant. If this sounds okay to you, there is no need for you to take any action.
This is an automated message- you have not upset or annoyed anyone, and you do not need to respond. In the future, you may save yourself some confusion if you supply a meaningful file name and refer to 'my contributions' to remind yourself exactly which name you chose (file names are case sensitive, including the extension) so that you won't lose track of your uploads. For tips on good file naming, see Wikipedia's image use policy. If you have any questions about this notice, or feel that the deletion is inappropriate, please contact User:Staecker, who operates the robot account. Staeckerbot 10:45, 9 August 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Notability of "Rival" (the recording artist)
A tag has been placed on "Rival" (the recording artist), requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done because the article appears to be about a person, group of people, band, club, company, or web content, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is notable: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not assert the subject's importance or significance may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable.
If you think that you can assert the notability of the subject, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}}
to the top of the page (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the article's talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would confirm the subject's notability under Wikipedia guidelines.
For guidelines on specific types of articles, you may want to check out our criteria for biographies, for web sites, for bands, or for companies. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. WebHamster 10:47, 9 August 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Rival (Rapper) notability
To establish notability, you need to cite a secondary source, such as any newspaper coverage, or a review of one of the albums. JackSchmidt (talk) 07:22, 27 January 2008 (UTC)
[edit] Rival (Rapper)
Hello, the page you created may not meet notability standards. If you have any music that you have sold or has charted on any notable chart (Billboard Hot 100, iTunes chart), then feel free to put it in there with references. You may want to wait on this page before you become one of the hottest rappers around. Try promoting yourself with an iTunes free single or something, because as of now, the article is not very notable. Message me if you have any questions, please. — Cuyler91093 - Соитяівцтіоиѕ 07:28, 27 January 2008 (UTC)
- Also, please listen to the guy above me. You need newspaper coverage, etc. for notability. — Cuyler91093 - Соитяівцтіоиѕ 07:31, 27 January 2008 (UTC)
- Yes, you can. By the way, when messaging someone, you can go to their talk page (mine is the "91093" in purple), and press the plus button at the top of the talk page. You can type from there. Just a little note. See, I'm a musician too, and I put a bio of myself on here, but if you're not notable enough to go onto the Wikipedia itself, then you can go to your userpage (User:Emceerival), and then type in a few tidbits about you. For example, you can say, "Hey, I'm MC Rival, and I'm a rapper", etc. Then, if you edit pages, become notable enough in the community, then people will see your page and will know you. You should upload a sound sample in ogg format and put it on your page. If you need help, ask me. If you want a visual guide on how it could look, see User:Cuyler91093/Archive 1. There, I have a sound sample of one of my latest songs. Please don't use the e-mail option unless it's really private. Thanks! Good luck on your musical career! If you're a good enough rapper, perhaps I could be your producer, 'cause that's what I want to be when I grow up. — Cuyler91093 - Соитяівцтіоиѕ 07:37, 27 January 2008 (UTC)
- On your user page, you don't have to talk in third person. You can say "I am MC Rival, and I have so many albums, etc." It sounds to me like you're a new user. You should check out Help:Contents/Getting started for details. — Cuyler91093 - Соитяівцтіоиѕ 07:39, 27 January 2008 (UTC)

Okay, first off, whenever you make new posts to someone's talk page, you always put a subject by having two equal signs surround the subject name, like == MC Rival ==. Then, after you're done, put four tildes ~~~~ to let me know who you are. And you don't have a user page. Go to User:Emceerival and start typing about yourself! — Cuyler91093 - Соитяівцтіоиѕ 07:44, 27 January 2008 (UTC)
Hey, stop creating the page Rival (Rapper). Thanks! — Cuyler91093 - Соитяівцтіоиѕ 00:16, 28 January 2008 (UTC)
[edit] AfD nomination of Rival (Rapper)
I have nominated Rival (Rapper), an article you created, for deletion. I do not feel that this article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and have explained why at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Rival (Rapper). Your opinions on the matter are welcome at that same discussion page; also, you are welcome to edit the article to address these concerns. Thank you for your time. — HelloAnnyong (say whaaat?!) 14:57, 27 January 2008 (UTC)
The article Rival (Rapper) has been speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This was done because the article seemed to be about a real person, organization (band, club, company, etc.), or web content, but it did not indicate how or why the subject is notable, that is, why an article about that subject should be included in Wikipedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not indicate the notability of the subject may be deleted at any time. If you can indicate why the subject is really notable, you are free to re-create the article, making sure to cite any verifiable sources.
Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, and for specific types of articles, you may want to check out our criteria for biographies, for web sites, for musicians, or for companies.
