[edit] Userbox Italy
Hi! I've seen your edit of the Italy userbox, and while I apreciate it, because it looks better, it doesn't fit anymore the other european nations user boxes that you can see in the list of European userboxes. Can you do something about it? Like converting some or all of the other userboxes to this style? it would be very apreciated. Ah, I see you have a problem with userboxes alignment on your user page. You can have a look at my user page and see if it resolves your problem. --giandrea 18:11, 12 February 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Signing
I noticed that you're transcluding a user sub page to sign your posts. I just wanted to inform you if you didn't already know that you can change your default signature by clicking "my preferences", putting your signature in the "Nickname" box, and checking "Raw signature". Then your customized signature will appear just by typing four tildes (~~~~). If you prefer to transclude a page instead, please consider substing instead of transcluding. Feel free to ask if you have any questions. Pagrashtak 18:20, 26 February 2006 (UTC)

[edit] A short Esperanzial update
As you may have gathered, discussions have been raging for about a week on the Esperanza talk page as to the future direction of Esperanza. Some of these are still ongoing and warrant more input (such as the idea to scrap the members list altogether). However, some decisions have been made and the charter has hence been amended. See what happened. Basically, the whole leadership has had a reshuffle, so please review the new, improved charter.
As a result, we are electing 4 people this month. They will replace JoanneB and Pschemp and form a new tranche A, serving until December. Elections will begin on 2006-07-02 and last until 2006-07-09. If you wish to run for a Council position, add your name to the list before 2006-07-02. For more details, see Wikipedia:Esperanza/June 2006 elections.
Thanks and kind, Esperanzial regards, —Celestianpower háblame 16:00, 23 June 2006 (UTC)

[edit] My RfA thanks
Hello Emc2, and thank you for your support at my Request for Adminship, which succeeded with an overwhelming final count of (105/2/0). I was very pleased with the outpouring of kind words from the community that has now entrusted me with these tools, from the classroom, the lesson in human psychology and the international resource known as Wikipedia. The Free Encyclopedia. Please feel free to leave me plenty of requests, monitor my actions (through the admin desk on my userpage) and, if you find yourself in the mood, listen to some of what I do in real life. In any case, keep up the great work and have a fabulous day. Grandmasterka 07:21, 16 July 2006 (UTC) |

I don't think removing a picture from an article could be considered a "minor edit". Please think carefully before checking that box! Soo 15:43, 11 August 2006 (UTC)
- Not everyone considers a rollback to be a minor edit. Although the net effect is zero, clearly the effect of the individual edits is not. If I made extensive changes to an article and they were rolled back by a "minor" edit then I'd be greatly discouraged. I suppose policy needs to be made definite on this but, in general, it's surely better to not to mark as minor if there could be any dispute. For the record, I agree with the change you made, but I don't think it's minor. Soo 15:57, 11 August 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Orphaned fair use image (Image:Meyers-Goode-Johansson-MatchPoint.jpg)
Thanks for uploading Image:Meyers-Goode-Johansson-MatchPoint.jpg. I notice the 'image' page currently specifies that the image is unlicensed for use on Wikipedia and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable under fair use (see our fair use policy).
If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any fair use images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. Gay Cdn (talk) (Contr.) 14:40, 30 December 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Help with Eastbourne
I am trying to gather a small group of people to improve the Eastbourne article and writing to you as you have edited that page recently. I have set up a what needs to be done section on the talk page, and I am hoping that I will get a few people to start a discussion. It would be wonderful if you could spare a few minutes just to look at the current Eastbourne article and give your opinion. It would be evern more wonderful if you could join in with this small project as well. Thank you MortimerCat 12:08, 7 January 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Duplicate images uploaded
Thanks for uploading Image:Eat the phikis.jpg. A machine-controlled robot account noticed that you also uploaded the same image under the name Image:Image-Eat the phikis.jpg. The copy called Image:Image-Eat the phikis.jpg has been marked for speedy deletion since it is redundant. If this sounds okay to you, there is no need for you to take any action.
This is an automated message- you have not upset or annoyed anyone, and you do not need to respond. In the future, you may save yourself some confusion if you supply a meaningful file name and refer to 'my contributions' to remind yourself exactly which name you chose (file names are case sensitive, including the extension) so that you won't lose track of your uploads. For tips on good file naming, see Wikipedia's image use policy. If you have any questions about this notice, or feel that the deletion is inappropriate, please contact User:Staecker, who operates the robot account. Staeckerbot 00:45, 13 June 2007 (UTC)

[edit] American films
Please please!!! help fill in List of American films. Even if it is just a few details it all helps -any contribution you can make will be more than appreciated!! ♦ Sir Blofeld ♦ "Expecting you" Contribs 17:49, 4 July 2007 (UTC)
Thanks -they will look great when complete. Hopefully I can get away with one image for each year - image of the Academy Award winners or Highest grossing films. E.g American films of 1982. All the best ♦ Sir Blofeld ♦ "Expecting you" Contribs 20:42, 4 July 2007 (UTC)
Yes well first of all I have been using the year categories to access all the titles then I aim to add the American titles and remove all the non American films of course. Note that most of the lists are in their infancy and all the non American films haven't been removed yet -please feel free to remove all the non US film and format the American. All the best ♦ Sir Blofeld ♦ "Expecting you" Contribs 08:09, 5 July 2007 (UTC)
Note they are labelled "unsorted" for a reason!!!1 The foreign films haven't been filtered out yet!!!! Regards ♦ Sir Blofeld ♦ "Expecting you" Contribs 12:47, 5 July 2007 (UTC)
Ah! As I was saying I was trying to format titles that I thought were American first and then go through and check them while filling in the details. My first objective is to add most of the titles first -then go through and add the details and remove the non-US films -I have told you this ♦ Sir Blofeld ♦ "Expecting you" Contribs 14:32, 6 July 2007 (UTC)
Look I know this about the .... (film)|title but really isn't is more important the films are added to the tables first and then filled in and sorted out and cleaned up afterwards? ♦ Sir Blofeld ♦ "Expecting you" Contribs 14:34, 6 July 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Disputed fair use rationale for Image:Eat the phikis.jpg
Thanks for uploading Image:Eat the phikis.jpg. However, there is a concern that the rationale you have provided for using this image under "fair use" may be invalid. Please read the instructions at Wikipedia:Non-free content carefully, then go to the image description page and clarify why you think the image qualifies for fair use. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.
If it is determined that the image does not qualify under fair use, it will be deleted within a couple of days according to our criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot 06:42, 27 October 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Fair use rationale for Image:Black_Mask.jpg
Thanks for uploading or contributing to Image:Black_Mask.jpg. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in Wikipedia articles constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use. Suggestions on how to do so can be found here.
Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.
If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Project FMF (talk) 21:48, 11 March 2008 (UTC)
