Embryonic Journey is an album by Jorma Kaukonen, the lead guitarist for Jefferson Airplane / Hot Tuna, and one-time (1968-1970) Grateful Dead keyboardist Tom Constanten, consisting of ten renditions of Kaukonen's popular instrumental Embryonic Journey which first appeared on Jefferson Airplane's Surrealistic Pillow album of 1967.

Later releases of the Embryonic Journey album include an eleventh version employing MIDI technology.
