Initially called the MLJ (Mid-Light Jet), it is designed to carry 7 to 8 passengers over 2,300 nautical miles (4,300 km). Embraer has not committed to its manufacture, but has been reported to be accepting $70,000 "letters of intent" from potential customers, which would assure their place in the production queue.[1]
