[edit] Category too broad?

Constituent components seems to make this category incredibly broad. It could potentially contain thousands of mostly unrelated items. To include LED's and LCD's simply because they are potential components of embedded systems seems odd. I think the category should be more focused and simply contain actual embedded systems. Any thoughts? --Abqwildcat 21:52, 23 Jul 2004 (UTC)

One the one hand you might be right. One the other hand, I think a clear advantage of the present inclusion criteria is that readers become aware of the -eh- broad range of systems and components that are (connected to) embedded systems, which at present is a mostly unknown concept to the general public even though it underlies much of their daily lives. --Wernher 02:25, 14 Nov 2004 (UTC)
