[edit] nigeria

please attempt to do all your edits in one session, as it makes it difficult for others who are also editing the page. also, a WikiProject for Nigeria has also been set up recently, I encourage your participation. thanks.--gozar 16:36, 28 June 2006 (UTC)

Quite the contrary. My overhaul actually rectified many of the issues of this page including proper citation (which was the biggest problem), gramatical errors, and re-organization.

It seems that you are just editing certain sections. Why don't you just do that instead turning the page back to its poor original state?

[edit] Rose (Street Fighter)

  • Street Fighter Alpha is NOT canon. Capcom of Japan has officially stated that Alpha 2 is meant to replace Alpha 1 in terms of storyline. Your changes have been reverted. Danny Lilithborne 05:46, 13 August 2006 (UTC)

Prove it. Changes brought back.

  • From Tiamat's Street Fighter Plot Canon Guide ver 4.4:

SFA2 = Street Fighter Alpha 2. SFA2's storyline overrides SFA1. Capcom has stated as such.

Later on:

********************************** pgIVSFA1.

STREET FIGHTER ALPHA (STREET FIGHTER ZERO in Japan)

Story: You see all those dialogues and all those endings and all those storyline bits that happen in Street Fighter Alpha 1? FORGET EVERYTHING ABOUT THEM. Capcom has officially stated that Street Fighter Alpha 2 is the real storyline as to how the events here happened. Even several of the non-conflicting endings in SFA1 that don't conflict with SFA2 have official statements that contradict them, really (not for all, tho). Considering that Alpha 1 was actually incomplete and that Alpha 2 was the complete version, this makes sense, too (another official statement. And also why Alpha 1 had such a freaking small playable characters roster). However, there are some endings that look like they could eerily fit in and be merged with SFA2.

This guide is the most up-to-date listing of canon available, based almost entirely on Japanese mooks and statements from CoJ. It's already established by all SF fans worth their salt. Don't change it back; it will be considered vandalism. Danny Lilithborne 06:18, 13 August 2006 (UTC)

  • Not to mention that everything known about Rose absolutely does not jive with her being from a "mysterious organization", as said in Alpha 1. Rose is acting on her own volition (or so it seems). Danny Lilithborne 06:22, 13 August 2006 (UTC)

Thats not an official comment from Capcom. Just a fan making a comment. You obviously haven't played the game (or beat it with Rose) otherwise you'd know what i'm talking about. I am remaking the page and will have it locked until you can prove that Capcom can officially make it as such. Eman007

  • Go for it. Like I said, every SF fan knows this already, you're the deluded fan making comments. Please actually read the document before thinking that you know more than people that have been playing the game for years. Danny Lilithborne 06:35, 13 August 2006 (UTC)
  • Oh, btw...

Please refrain from undoing other people's edits repeatedly. If you continue, you may be blocked from editing Wikipedia under the three-revert rule, which states that nobody may revert a single page more than three times in 24 hours. (Note: this also means editing the page to reinsert an old edit. If the effect of your actions is to revert back, it qualifies as a revert.) Thank you. Danny Lilithborne 06:36, 13 August 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Talk page

Please discuss proposed changes to the article on the article's talk page: Talk:Rose (Street Fighter). Please work towards consensus before making the appropriate edits. Thanks. --Madchester 06:47, 13 August 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Hmm...

I'm getting this heated over a freakin' video game character. Sorry... you're right, of course, about sources. But I can't give you what you need right now. I need to sleep off this general irritation I have and then work on the problem in the morning. I already sent a note to some of my friends asking for sources straight from the hourse's mouth. Sorry for getting all over you about it. Danny Lilithborne 07:42, 13 August 2006 (UTC)

Apology accepted. Sure thing. Take your time. It isn't about something important. Goodnight. Eman007

[edit] link to antiquity

Hello, when you want to link to the article about antiquity, please do not link to antiquity, as that is a disambiguation page (which nothing should be linked to). Instead link to the one of the options found on that page such as ancient history or classical antiquity by writing out [[ancient history|antiquity]] or [[classical antiquity|antiquity]]. [edit] Orphaned fair use image (Image:Modernhntersgaroyles.jpg)

Thanks for uploading Image:Modernhntersgaroyles.jpg. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable under fair use (see our fair use policy).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any fair use images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. [edit] Unspecified source for Image:Goliathdisney.jpg

Thanks for uploading Image:Goliathdisney.jpg. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, then you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, then a link to the website from which it was taken, together with a restatement of that website's terms of use of its content, is usually sufficient information. However, if the copyright holder is different from the website's publisher, then their copyright should also be acknowledged.

As well as adding the source, please add a proper copyright licensing tag if the file doesn't have one already. If you created/took the picture, audio, or video then the {{GFDL-self}} tag can be used to release it under the GFDL. If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Fair use, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair use. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their source and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link. Unsourced and untagged images may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If the image is copyrighted under a non-free license (per Wikipedia:Fair use) then the image will be deleted 48 hours after 20:36, 5 July 2007 (UTC). If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. ShakespeareFan00 20:36, 5 July 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Fair use rationale for Image:Goliathdisney.jpg

Thanks for uploading or contributing to Image:Goliathdisney.jpg. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in Wikipedia articles constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use. Suggestions on how to do so can be found here.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. ShakespeareFan00 20:37, 5 July 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Image:Mapoflagos.jpg

I've deleted this image of a street map, which you tagged as {{CopyrightedFreeUse-Link}}. Simply scanning a map does not make you the copyright holder; whoever designed this map, or whoever the designer sold the rights to, is the copyright holder. Picaroon (t) 04:33, 23 December 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Orphaned non-free media (Image:Guatemclan2.jpg)

Thanks for uploading Image:Guatemclan2.jpg. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. BJBot (talk) 12:29, 28 March 2008 (UTC)
