Emanuele Ruspoli, 1st Prince of Poggio Suasa

Emanuele dei Principi Ruspoli (Rome, December 30, 1838November 29, 1899) was the 1st Principe di Poggio Suasa, son of Bartolomeo dei Principi Ruspoli and wife Carolina Ratti and paternal grandson of Francesco Ruspoli, 3rd Prince of Cerveteri and second wife HIH Leopoldina Gräfin von Khevenhüller-Metsch and ancestor of the Line III of the Principi Ruspoli. His great-uncle was Bartolomeo Ruspoli. He was also a great-great-grandfather of actor Bart Ruspoli.

He married firstly in Rome, June 10, 1864 Caterina Vogorides-Konaki (Athens, April 2, 1831Rome, February 22, 1870), a Greek woman, by whom he had five children:

He married thirdly in Paris, June 18, 1885 Josephine Mary Curtiss (Paris, January, 1861 – ?), an English American, daughter of Joseph Davis Beers Curtiss and wife Elizabeth Shipton Giles, whose paternal grandfather Lewis Curtiss was distantly related to President George Walker Bush and First Lady Barbara Bush and whose paternal grandmother Mary Elizabeth Beers was distantly related to John and William Tecumseh Sherman, Robert Borden, Robert Treat Paine, genealogist Clarence Almon Torrey, Harriet Beecher Stowe, Henry Ward Beecher, Clara Barton, James Russell Lowell, Robert Lowell, John Forbes Kerry, Tennessee Williams and also Sir Winston Churchill, by whom he had three children:
