Elyria is a village in Valley County, Nebraska, United States. The population was 54 at the 2000 census.

Elyria is located at 41°40′48″N, 99°0′24″W (41.680045, -99.006752)[3].

According to the United States Census Bureau, the village has a total area of 0.3 square miles (0.7 km²), all of it land.

As of the census[1] of 2000, there were 54 people, 26 households, and 15 families residing in the village. The population density was 208.1 people per square mile (80.2/km²). There were 31 housing units at an average density of 119.4/sq mi (46.0/km²). The racial makeup of the village was 100.00% White.

There were 26 households out of which 19.2% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 53.8% were married couples living together, 3.8% had a female householder with no husband present, and 42.3% were non-families. 42.3% of all households were made up of individuals and 15.4% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older. The average household size was 2.08 and the average family size was 2.60.

In the village the population was spread out with 24.1% under the age of 18, 25.9% from 25 to 44, 31.5% from 45 to 64, and 18.5% who were 65 years of age or older. The median age was 46 years. For every 100 females there were 86.2 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there were 86.4 males.

The median income for a household in the village was $18,750, and the median income for a family was $26,250. Males had a median income of $21,875 versus $19,375 for females. The per capita income for the village was $10,695. There were 16.7% of families and 16.9% of the population living below the poverty line, including no under eighteens and 15.4% of those over 64.
