Elvio Armando Tuoto (born August 29, 1956) is an Italian descended Brazilian physician, medical historian, neurology specialist and occupational health specialist, who pioneered the dissemination of history of medicine information in Brazil using the internet focused on educational blogs (edublogs).

Dr. Elvio Tuoto is one of the founders of the Brazilian Society for the History of Medicine, and he is widely regarded as the pioneer in Brazil in using the resources offered by the internet in order to disseminate information about the historical aspects of medicine focusing on educational blogging. He is the creator and administrator of many medical educational blogs (edublogs) such as História da Medicina - History of Medicine, Biografias Médicas - Medical Biographies, Filatelia Médica - Medical Stamps, Pasteur on Stamps, South American Scientists, Medicina do Trabalho. He is a member of the Brazilian Academy of Neurology, and of the International Society for the History of the Neurosciences.
