Elves Special Needs Society

Elves Special Needs Society is a private, non-profit agency based out of Edmonton, Alberta, that provides dependent handicapped persons with a unique day program. This day program is focused on promoting the maximum development and to enhance the quality of life of the individuals (ages 2 1/2 through adulthood) and their families within a supportive and caring environment.
Their motto is "special care for people with special needs".

School Program - Encourages parent and family participation. Contains a kitchen, laundry room, Snoezelen (sensory) room, and a large central area for gross motor activities and exercises. Adapted computer and specially-designed equipment as well as audio/visual material is also available for students.
Early Education (FAS) Program - A Comprehensive educational program for preschool children.
Adult Program - An active day-program funded by Persons with Developmental Disabilities for individuals over 20 years old who suffer severely multiply disabled. This program emphasizes community access activities and functional skills.

Outreach Program - Serves the educational needs of students who are unable to attend school for periods of time.
Early Education Program - A classroom-based program for pre-school children diagnosed with Fetal Alcohol Syndrome/Alcohol Related Neurological Disorder and who are eligible for Program Unit Funding.
