[edit] Revision

Revised the article. I left the singles in the article but deleted the chart positions. They seem excessive and do not really belong in a discography. Think it looks a lot better this way. -cuervo7

Thanks for helping with this page. I tried...but knew I didn't do as good a job as needed to be done. It's much eaier to read now...so, again, thanks. --Octopusouphut 23:13, 19 December 2005 (UTC)

[edit] 12/28 edit

Hmmm...seems like the article went from readable to a totel mess again. In my opinion a proper discography should make a distinction between 'normal' albums and compilations. Also I believe that chart positions should not be listed in a discography. All those number signs (#) don't help with the readability. Since I don't feel like editing the article again at this point and don't want to start some kind of edit-war, I'll just put up a clean-up notice. --cuervo7

What the hell. Just reverted it to what I think was the best version. --cuervo7

[edit] Alternate Titles

The album "Here and There" has at least two alternate titles: "Here and Now" and "London & New York". The "London & New York" release has a slightly different song order. Anyway, I put a note with the other titles on the album page and wondered if anyone had an opinion about putting the titles in this list as well. - David

[edit] Other songs he wrote

Is there a separate list of songs that he wrote for other people? I mean those that he didn't sing himself, if any. Kowloonese 18:40, 22 May 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Chart positions in discographies

I disagree with the above positions. Most Wikipedia discographies do have chart positions and/or sales figures, e.g. The Beatles discography, The Rolling Stones discography, Mariah Carey discography just to name a few. It's valuable, factual information about record releases, and helps to illustrate the arc of an artist's career. Wasted Time R 20:15, 1 June 2006 (UTC)

[edit] SACD Titles

In 2006, several Elton John albums were re-mixed into surround sound and released on SACD format. I believe the titles that have been re-issued in this format should be noted in the discography. - IanM.
