[edit] Purpose of this page
Since I (Elonka) do a lot of public speaking, I've decided to put together a talk on Wikipedia. Towards the end of the talk, I generally present this "top 10" list to give an idea of wiki-humor. The general target audience for the humor is non-Wikipedians, who have just listened to a one-hour overview talk about wiki-culture. The purpose of the humor is also to drive through a few of the points, to help the audience to understand the "do's and don'ts" if they want to become editors themselves. :) If you have any suggestions for items to add to this list, please by all means, feel free to join in. Post your own list, add an element or two, comment on which items you found funniest -- any kind of feedback is great. Thanks, Elonka 02:14, 4 September 2007 (UTC)
So far the talk has been given at:
- Games, Learning and Society Conference, Madison, Wisconsin, July 12, 2007
- Dragon*Con, Atlanta, Georgia, September 3, 2007
Upcoming:
- Game Developers Conference, San Francisco, February 2008
