[edit] Plot
When the crew of Voyager investigate a cluster of space-borne life forms, Kes prematurely enters a stage in her life known as the 'Elogium', which is the only time in her life when she can conceive a child. This causes Neelix a quandary as he decides whether or not he is ready to be a father. Just as he decides that he is, it is revealed that the Elogium was artificially brought on by the radiation emitted by the lifeform cluster. This means that it is possible Kes will go through another Elogium later on in her life when she is ready.
At the end of the episode, Ensign Wildman informs Captian Janeway that she is pregnant by her husband who is still in the alpha quadrant.
