Elmstead (sometimes Elmstead Woods) is a residential district in the London Borough of Bromley, with no distinct or formal boundary, lying between Chislehurst, Mottingham, Bromley and Bickley.
Elmstead Woods, an ancient woodland, has public access from Elmstead Lane. It lies on the Green Chain walk Much of the local land space is occupied by Sundridge Park (a golf club and leisure/conference facility).
Elmstead Woods railway station celebrated its 100th anniversary in August 2004. It has two ponds, complete with fish, and landscaped garden areas. The station has won many awards.
