Elmhurst Avenue is a local station on the IND Queens Boulevard Line of the New York City Subway. Located at the intersection of Elmhurst Avenue and Broadway in Elmhurst, Queens, it is served by the R train (all times except late nights), by the V train (weekdays), by the G train (evenings, weekends, and late nights), and by the E train (late nights).
The mezzanine crossover is at the western end, around an exit staircase. There are five sets of street stairs at both ends, and the fare control is at the middle. There is evidence that another fare control existed. The staircase at Britton Avenue on the western end has a small arcade of stores. Each platform has seven sets of stairs up to the mezzanine. Until the early 1980s, this station had a connection with the LIRR's Port Washington Branch at the now-abandoned Elmhurst station, about half a block away.
