Your misplaced speedy tagHi! Before attempting to speedy pages like Rød, it's urgent that you check for vandalism in the edit history. Thanks, Punkmorten 09:17, 27 June 2007 (UTC) Articles you might like to edit, from SuggestBotSuggestBot predicts that you will enjoy editing some of these articles. Have fun! SuggestBot picks articles in a number of ways based on other articles you've edited, including straight text similarity, following wikilinks, and matching your editing patterns against those of other Wikipedians. It tries to recommend only articles that other Wikipedians have marked as needing work. Your contributions make Wikipedia better -- thanks for helping. If you have feedback on how to make SuggestBot better, please tell me on SuggestBot's talk page. Thanks from ForteTuba, SuggestBot's caretaker. P.S. You received these suggestions because your name was listed on the SuggestBot request page. If this was in error, sorry about the confusion. -- SuggestBot 03:08, 3 July 2007 (UTC) Sheerness FACHi. I'm sorry to bother you, but as a LoCE member, I just wondered if you would be willing to have a look through the Sale, Greater Manchester article. It is currently a Featured Article Candidate and needs a copy-edit for grammar by someone who hasn't yet seen it. Any other ways to improve the article would also be welcome. Thank you very much, if you can. Epbr123 16:03, 4 July 2007 (UTC) This was deletedEugene La is a nerdy f00l that lives in habiboo land and he likes this site. lol joke he likes beef really, and carmen :P' The deleted content is reproduced above in bold. Do you really think that we require editors capable of such high standard? Still as suggested by you I have removed my comments. With such editors coming in drove, you can imagine the plight of wikipedia! --Bhadani (talk) 17:31, 11 July 2007 (UTC) Hi Eliz. It was really nice that you responded swiftly. Such swift inter-action has repeatedly confirmed my faith in the community of wikipedias, I mean true wikipedians like you. Yes, I do agree that we should not feed trolls and vandals by "feeding" them. But, as you rightly pointed out that sometimes the patience gets tested to the hilt. Anyway, I regret for my harsh feelings about you like assuming good faith, etc. That vandal did a good thing - we are now friends on account of that fellow :) Regards. --Bhadani (talk) 18:22, 11 July 2007 (UTC)
League of CopyeditorsI'm very sorry I haven't had a chance to welcome you earlier, I have been incredibly busy lately. We are glad to have your help. Currently, we have really cut down the backlog of articles in need of copyedit. Therefore, a major goal at this moment is to identify new articles that are in need of work. When you run across them, be sure to tag them for copyediting. If you have any questions at all, do not hesitate to drop me a line.Trusilver 21:50, 11 July 2007 (UTC) In re: Nutty Buddy editsHi there, I had a question about User:Cterry1234's recent edits to the Nutty Buddy page. I made a new page for the athletic gear information he keeps persistently adding and re-adding here: Nutty Buddy (athletic wear), and encouraging xim to make sure it satisfies Wikipedia guidelines. But this user appears to have not taken notice of the page, and tried to re-add the information again into the main Nutty Buddy page. He's also tried to upload non-fair use images a bunch. Does this qualify as WP:SPAM, need any kind of talk page warning or anything in light of all the actions of an account's existence solely to promote a single product, or action just be taken on an edit-by-edit basis, such as nominating individual pictures for deletion? Thanks for your input!! Eliz81 19:10, 16 July 2007 (UTC)
My RfAThank you for your support in my unsuccessful RfA. I appreciate the trust you and the WP community have in me; however, this time around things just didn't work out. TomStar81 (Talk) 21:53, 16 July 2007 (UTC) Thanks
Benjamin WaterhouseI've taken another look and changed my assessment. Another AFD discussionCan you add the AFD template to Life line? You seem to have missed that one out. Thanks. FT2 (Talk | email) 22:01, 18 July 2007 (UTC) Re:Shatner's legendary, eh?Haha, amazing! Both his albums are pretty decent. And his spoken-word version of The Real Slim Shady on Futurama was the greatest moment in TV history! Lugnuts 04:56, 19 July 2007 (UTC) Con KafatarisI have added sources for the article and some information. I would be grateful if you could take a look. Capitalistroadster 05:57, 19 July 2007 (UTC) Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/List of gay, lesbian or bisexual people (3rd nomination)It's been three months since AfD#2, so consensus may have changed. I wouldn't snow close it, especially since you are not an admin, the nominator has been with Wikipedia since 28 January 2007, and the AfD is not disruptive. Some good might come out of the nomination through the discussion. -- Jreferee (Talk) 17:31, 19 July 2007 (UTC)
Steve MoaklerGah, you're right, I really didn't want to block him, though 24 hours was somewhat lenient for his vandal rampage. After he replaced the article with "f*** you" I didn't feel like I had any choice. I'm not sure I'm the person to send him the wikilove, as he seems to have taken this quite personally, but I would be perfectly happy to see someone else do it. In my ideal world he would have asked nicely to be unblocked, and I probably would have done it so he could participate in the Afd, but he hasn't. I think he knew that his article wouldn't pass muster. It's a bummer. Also, yes, his freak out did seem ironic in light of his "musical reputation". Dina 18:18, 19 July 2007 (UTC)

Welcome to VandalProof!Thank you for your interest in VandalProof, Eliz81! You have now been added to the list of authorized users, so if you haven't already, simply download and install VandalProof from our main page. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact me or any other moderator, or you can post a message on the discussion page. ∆ 22:31, 24 July 2007 (UTC) AfDI will delete it a few seconds. Sr13 06:00, 25 July 2007 (UTC) VandalProof approvalHi! I noticed that you have posted to Betacommand about a problem you're having with VandalProof. Incidentally, I was approved in the same 'batch' as yourself, and am experiencing the same issue. I have also noticed that, unlike other approvals, we were not listed in the User:AmiDaniel/VP/L2 page; this might be the cause behind the reported lack of authorisation. I have already informed Betacommand of the omission. Regards, CounterFX 06:34, 25 July 2007 (UTC) Thanks for your inputI want to thank you for not agreeing to randomly delete the article about Ed Wiley, Jr., who after nearly 80 years as a blues and jazz musician could get such seemingly weak consideration from some Wiki editors. I would agree that Ed Wiley, Jr. is not nearly as well known as he should be, but I must say how shocked I was to see how quickly he was brushed aside by some, given his extensive discography and highly notable mention in virtually every historical account of early blues in Texas. He is included on every single contemporary compilation of influential blues musicians from post-war Texas. A simple Google of "Ed Wiley, Jr." should have been more than enough to diminish any serious discussion about his deletion from the online encyclopedia. I began drafting something after realizing just yesterday that there was no Wikipedia site for him. I have been a writer and editor for many years, but would appreciate any guidance you might be able to provide in helping me navigate the procedures for including material on the site. Much Thanks. Could you clarify? But thanks for the information on WP:TWINKLE - never heard of it but it certainly looks useful. I will investigate further. Emeraude 21:59, 25 July 2007 (UTC)
Malta stuffHi Eliz, I've taken a short look at his contribs, and yes: most of his articles appear to be unencyclopedic and unsourced. However, I, despite being the founding member of WP:MALTA, am not an authority on Malta; You would be able to judge the notability of places within Malta just as well (or just as badly ;)) as me. I will go through now and take the appropriate action towards each of his articles (cleanup/wikify/ref tags, PROD, CSD, AFD etc), but I just thought i'd let you know. thanks for telling me. Cheers, -- Anonymous DissidentTalk 03:03, 26 July 2007 (UTC)
Professorsmay I make a suggestion? In general at WP,full professors at research universities, especially professors holding named chairs, such as Thomas R. Kratochwill, have always been held notable at afd--i cannot remember one nomination succeeding in the past 8 months. They have always turned out to have published multiple books from significant university presses, or dozens of widely cited papers in peer reviewed journals, and this meets the requirement for professional recognition in the guidelines. (they very often have also received award and major grants, which also meets the guideline) On the other hand, associate professors vary, depending on the amount of publication and the like. assistant professors are generally not notable, unless they have done exceptional work. Why don;t you just do the assistant professors , individually. They are going to be a considerable amount of work to discuss and involve many editors, so it would seem advisable to at least start with the ones that really ought to be deleted. If they havent published all that much, I'll be glad to support the deletions, as I usually do. And then similarly for associate professors who have not had any special distinction---I'd advise you to check first in google scholar, as it is quite likely that some of them are important in a WP sense. But why do the ones which will just make work for yourselves and everyone? Remember that COI alone is not cause for deletion. I am in touch with the guy who wrote the articles, using my university email address at princeton, and will try to explain things to him. Maybe I can get him to withdraw the assistant professor articles and save everyone the trouble. I'll keep you in touch here. DGG (talk) 19:21, 26 July 2007 (UTC)
multiplesI want to tell you in advance because it is not in reference to your nomination, but to another much more difficult issue--I shall probably be filing an RfC today about multiple nominations for AfDs--it will be about the nomination of all the ...in popular culture lists at once, which has made them seriously hard to defend, and is imho a workaround towards getting them banned directly, for which there probably wouldn't be consensus. If anyone brings up your noms, but if so, I'll try to differentiate that as accidental, not the sort of deliberate intent the other one looks like. (I shall also be talking about it on the WP mailing list, WikiEn-L). If yheres something about the profs we need to discuss, lets do it here not on my page. DGG (talk) 14:04, 27 July 2007 (UTC)
multi-nomsIts at [2]. I always start it immediately after i say I will, or even before. I decided not to discuss the specifics. DGG (talk) 19:17, 28 July 2007 (UTC) August 2007 Wikiproject Food and Drink NewsletterWikiProject Food and Drink Newsletter August 2007
