[edit] city parks and recreation

I am thinking that this article could benefit with some material pertaining to the Elizabethton city parks & recreation dpartment, and more specifically to information about the city parks (i.e.; the Linear Riverside Trail, the Covered Bridge & Elk Avenue Park, and; the park area near the county court house) in addition to other P&R assets such as the city golf course, the rec center in Blackbottom (morning interior pictures of the rec center would be especiall nice, and the riverside ballpark in Blackbottom4.88.154.89 21:32, 19 April 2007 (UTC)

[edit] submit your free use images of Elizabethton and Carter County to Wikipedia

I am noticing the stock of free use Wiki images for both Elizabethton and Carter County are pretty slim, so if you should happen to be at this Talk page you may want to skip over to the Help>images section and learn how to contribute you own Elizabethton and Carter County digital photos are free use images within the Wiki...4.88.154.89 21:32, 19 April 2007 (UTC)

I am attempting to standarize the pixel size for most of the portrait images at 120px (with the exception of the image file for President Jimmy Carter that is set at 100px solely to fit the end of text) and landscape image files at 180px.4.88.54.11 05:27, 10 May 2007 (UTC)

This page could also use a morning or late afternoon image file of the Carter Mansion located on the Broad Street Extension.4.88.54.11 05:27, 10 May 2007 (UTC)

I am not sure as to how to stipulate a 180px width for the Infobox image file downtown Elizabethton...4.129.71.185 14:53, 10 May 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Covered Bridge Days and Downtown Car Show

I am thinking that there should be some mention of the Covered Bridge Days (or Week) event that is held at the Elk Avenue Bridge every June in downtown Elizabethton along with the exploding popularity of the Downtown Car Show - any takers?4.88.154.89 22:02, 19 April 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Start up new page: Bee Cliff

Can a registered member please start up a new page for the Bee Cliff (Tennessee)? If you are not already familiar with the Bee Cliff, this geological feature is found approximately 10 to 15 minutes downstream on the Watauga River from the TVA Wilbur Dam and is listed at the USGS Name Information System with more detail than I am providing here.

[edit] Fair use rationale for Image:Eliz Seal.jpg

Image:Eliz Seal.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in Wikipedia articles constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot 04:56, 3 June 2007 (UTC)

[edit] What to say about Bemberg?

This is my very first time as a Wiki user, so I hope this works! First, I think the article is great, especially for the size of the town. Glad to know that 'Betsy's long/proud history is so well represented. As for as the expansion of the 'mills' section goes, I can only think of the major(suspicious?)fire a few years ago at North American, that led to the eventual re-development of the land. And the strikes in the early 1930's(?) (which were commmon throughout the nation and industry) Question: Are either or these matters worthwhile? And, might I get some help/suggestions as to how to go about adding what I know with enough confidence to warrant the research required to properly cite these histories. Again this is my first go around with this,(although I read Wiki habitually) and have had little success in the 'sandbox'. I fear I am a far better historian than editor! I just don't want to mess a good page up with clumsy or useless info. --FatBean (talk) 06:38, 18 February 2008 (UTC)
