Comments
- (1) Writing
- There are various MoS problems: dates, spacing, header caps, commas. I'd suggest taking the article to the League of Copyeditors.
- Citations go behind punctuation without a space between.
- The correct order for headers at the end is: See also, references, external links.
- The lead needs to be expanded to summarize all the main points of the article. See WP:LEAD.
- Paragraphs should be longer than a sentence or two. Either combine the paragraphs, or eliminate them.
- (2) References
- [1] Two of the links are dead.
- The references need to be formatted. Use Template:cite web for internet references.
- There are citation needed tags in the article.
- Are the two tables referenced?
- (3) Coverage
- Is there anything more about her personal life? A header should have more than one sentence under it.
- (4) Bias
- Some of her biggest criticisms should be described in detail and integrated into the article. Right now, the article reads as pro-May, except in the Chamberlain section.
- (6) Images
- The picture in the article is a promotional picture, thus it is fair use. As she is still alive, a free alternative is possible. That is, unless it is fair-use as it was taken by the government, but the description needs to say that. Also, you are not the copyright holder of the work unless you took it yourself.
I'm failing the article as there are just too many issues to address. When the above are fixed, feel free to renominate. Thanks. Nikki311 03:22, 13 March 2008 (UTC)
[edit] La très honorable??
Earlier today, someone inserted the title "La très honorable" at the beginning of the article. This is (the feminine form of) the official Canadian translation into French of The Right Honourable (note British spelling). However this title is reserved in Canada for "senior" members of the Privy Council of Canada such as prime ministers and former prime ministers, and a few other senior and former senior cabinet ministers. Although Ms. May is a national party leader, she has not yet been elected to Parliament and is certainly not a prime minister or cabinet minister, so she would not be referred to as The right honourable (or La très honorable). I am therefore deleting these words. Dirac66 (talk) 17:55, 22 March 2008 (UTC)
