[edit] Identity theft

I believe that there is a guideline that states that, unless it is essential to the understanding of the article and/or widely published elsewhere, we should be cautious about publishing whole dates of birth for currently living people. What do folks think? Alice 03:03, 29 December 2007 (UTC)

  • Nearly every biography of living person that I know of has full DoB. Bellwether BC (talk) 03:41, 29 December 2007 (UTC)
There's lots of little policy snippets hidden away in dusty corners: Wikipedia:Biographies of living persons#Privacy of birthdays. Alice 03:52, 29 December 2007 (UTC)
  • The way I view Primavera is that her birthday has been published on well-trafficked sites, so it would be fair game. Bellwether BC (talk) 04:00, 29 December 2007 (UTC)
Fair enough. Alice 04:10, 29 December 2007 (UTC)
  • Hope you didn't mind too much that I replaced your version with the one I've been working on off-wiki for awhile. ;) Bellwether BC (talk) 04:13, 29 December 2007 (UTC)
Of course not - it's much better! Alice 04:20, 29 December 2007 (UTC)
  • I don't know about much better, but I'd been working on it for awhile. Thanks for the compliment. My students will probably be getting started contributing within a couple of weeks after the beginning of the new year. I'm targeting January 7-11 for their first contributions. Bellwether BC (talk) 04:23, 29 December 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Fifth grade year?

I'm not an American and I don't know what age "Fifth grade" represents. What age would that be approximately? Alice 03:22, 29 December 2007 (UTC)

  • During fifth grade, one is 10, turning 11. Bellwether BC (talk) 03:40, 29 December 2007 (UTC)
Thanks! Alice 03:52, 29 December 2007 (UTC)
  • Changed the "fifth grade" wording to actual age, to clarify it for our non-U.S. readers. Bellwether BC (talk) 05:04, 29 December 2007 (UTC)

[edit] DYK!!!

Very cool! Thanks to all who contributed to the article, and especially to whomever nominated it. Bellwether BC 06:56, 4 January 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Citing the lede

This is not necessary, as both facts are non-controversial. Being "prolific" is sourced in her bibliography, and citation for the "well-reviewed" is in the "Career" section. Please don't tag this article, or remove the non-controversial adjectives, per WP:LEDE. -- Bellwether BC 12:49, 30 January 2008 (UTC)
