Elizabeth Yates

Elizabeth Yates (December 6, 1905 - July 29, 2001) was a prolific American author. She is perhaps best know for her Newbery Medal winning novel Amos Fortune, Free Man.

Her autobiography consists of three volumes: My Diary - My World (1981), My Widening World (1983), and One Writer's Way (1984).
