Elizabeth Pollard (née Jeffries, previously Feldmann) was a fictional character in the ITV soap Emmerdale, played by Kate Dove. She was killed in the 1993 plane crash that hit the village although some characters believe that her husband Eric actually murdered her as she was on the way to report his latest fraud to the police when the disaster struck.
It is also commonly believed by viewers of the show, that Eric murdered Elizabeth, however this event happened a long time ago, and will unlikely ever be challenged.
When Elizabeth married Eric Pollard in October 1992 she didn't know that Eric was still married to his first wife Eileen.
