Elizabeth Mitchell (born March 27, 1970) is an American actress who is currently known for her role as Dr. Juliet Burke on ABC's hit TV series Lost.

Mitchell was born in Los Angeles, California; her father and mother are lawyers based in Dallas.[1] Mitchell moved with her family to Dallas, Texas in 1970, where she graduated from Booker T. Washington High School for the Performing and Visual Arts, a public magnet school. She is the oldest of three sisters, the others being Kristie, who is seven years younger, and Kate, who is twelve years younger. In 1991, she graduated from Stephens College with a Bachelor of Fine Arts. Mitchell worked for six years in Dallas Theater Center and a year at Encore Theater.

She married actor Chris Soldevilla on 13 June 2004. They have a son, Christopher Joseph (C.J), who was born on September 4, 2005. They live in Bainbridge Island, Washington.
