Eliza Grace Patterson (1820 – 1887) is reputed to have introduced the noxious weed known as Patterson's Curse to Australia.[citation needed]
She was born as Eliza Grace in King's County Moneygall Ireland, and married William Patterson in 1844 in Launceston Tasmania. The family moved to north east Victoria in 1859, and it was on this trip that Eliza was reputed to have introduced the weed to the area.[citation needed]
She died in 1887 in Cumberoona, New South Wales.
