Eliza Hall
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Eliza Rowdon Hall (26 November 1847 – 14 February 1916) was an Australian philanthropist, also known as Eliza Rowdon Kirk.
Hall was the wife of Walter Hall. After Walter's death in 1911, Eliza — who was childless — allocated £1,000,000 from her husband's will to a trust deed. This became the Walter and Eliza Hall Institute of Medical Research.
