The elite media is a term used especially by the right-wing, used to describe newspapers, radio stations, TV channels and other media whose employees allegedly believe that they are more intelligent than anyone else.
The New York Times, The BBC, PBS and National Public Radio are all cited as examples by those who use the term. This term, and its sibling term "liberal elites", are used almost exclusively by conservatives, and almost inevitably in a pejorative context.
