Elite da Tropa

Elite da Tropa is a brazilian book created by the ex-police officers André Batista and Rodrigo Pimentel together with Luiz Eduardo Soares. It was first published on 2006. The film Tropa de Elite was based in this book.

Based in real facts, this book shows stories from the Batalhão de Operações Policiais Especiais (BOPE), cosidered an elite squadron in Rio de Janeiro's Military Police. The book shows the officers from BOPE as an incorruptible and extremely violent troope.

This book also shows the plan to eliminate Leonel Brizola, on that time, governor of Rio de Janeiro.
