The Elite Tower is a skyscraper currently under construction in Ramat Gan, Israel. At 244 meters upon completion, the tower will be equal in height with its neighbor the City Gate Tower as the tallest building in Israel. Originally slated to be constructed by Donald Trump as the Trump Plaza Tower, the tower is now being constructed by the Azorim Group and is being constructed on the historic site of the Elite Candy Factory. The finished building will contain a museum as a tribute to this. Construction on the tower began in early 2008.
[edit] Donald Trump
Originally, the Elite Tower was planned by US property tycoon, Donald Trump in association with Crescent Heights Investments as his first development in Israel. Called the Trump Plaza Tower, Trump shelved the plans in 2007, when the site was sold on to Azorim.[1] Trump purchased the site for $44 million.[2]
