Eliseo Quintanilla Ortiz (born 5 February 1983 in La Libertad, El Salvador) is a Salvadoran football (soccer) player, who currently play for LD Alajuelense of Costa Rica.

Quintanilla was acquired by D.C. United before the 2002 season from Salvadoran club C.D. Aguila, with whom he had played since 2001, after making his professional debut in 1999 with C.D. FAS. Injuries have curtailed his MLS career. He scored just five goals and five assists in two years in the league, missed all of 2004 with an injury, and was subsequently released.

Quintanilla is also a promising player for the El Salvador national team, for whom he earned his debut in 2000, since which he has since earned 20 caps with the full national team and scoring 10 goals.

Quintanilla began playing soccer (football) around the age of 11 and his progress allowed him to represent the national team of El Salvador. he become a professional athlete at the young age of 16.

Eliseo was a determined player from an early age, attending school in the mornings and placing high intensity training in the afternoon. Eliseo always showed praise towards his family which allowed him to follow his dream of playing professional soccer and helping obtain a proper education as well.

Fortunately for Eliseo, he didn't encounter any barriers in his goal to be a professional soccer player. Quintanilla decided if he didn't succeed as a player, he always planned to continue to finish his studies. While with Club Aguila of El Salvador, Eliseo played in a friendly match in Los Angeles. The management at D.C. United watched the game tapes were impressed and signed Eliseo Quintanilla with the club in 2002.

In 2004, Eliseo was injured at a preseason training camp and was unable to play the entire season. when a large setbacks occurs to upcoming talent it normally leads them down a terrible spiral- instead Eliseo trained hard and never allowed a setback to bring him down emotionally.

In 2008, Eliseo signed a six month deal with well known Costa Rican football club LD Alajuelense, being the only player of the current national squad to play outside of the country.

During his time with the national team, El Salvador has nearly gained world qualification in the CONCACAF zone, in which many teams find hard to advance. His latest shining moment was when El Salvador defeated Mexico.

In the UNCAF Nations Cup he scored every Salvadorian goal except one. He is a promising player known for his great free kicks and for his offensive style.
