Elisabeth Järnefelt

Elisabeth Järnefelt (née Clodt von Jürgensburg) (January 11, 1839, Saint Petersburg, Russian Empire - February 3, 1929, Helsinki, Finland) was known as mother of Finnish art and culture.
Elisabeth's parents were Konstantin Clodt and Catharina Vigné. Elisabeth married to August Aleksander Järnefelt at December 22, 1857 at Saint Petersburg .Their children where Kasper, Arvid, Erik, Ellida, Ellen, Armas, Aino, Hilja and Sigrid. Armas, Arvid and Eero were famous Finnish cultural figures. Daughter Aino Järnefelt was married to composer Jean Sibelius. Elisabeth Järnefelt was also good friend of writer Juhani Aho.
