[edit] History
Little is unknown about Eli Love except he is an 1980s rock star and a dead ringer for Dr. Noah Drake. Eli is scheduled to give a benefit concert for LIFEbeat, the HIV/AIDS organization and is therefore adamant about not having surgery. Patrick insists, telling Eli he will die without it. Because Noah is the spitting image of Eli, Robin suggests that Noah stand in for him. After some persuasion of both partys Noah agrees to do it. Robin's mother Anna is in town for the concert and agrees to coach Noah on Eli's mannerisms.
At a party promoting the concert, Noah, who is a recovering alcoholic, slips and drinks vodka...which is actually water Anna has given him. After a groupie tries to get close to Eli, (Noah) Anna proceeds to chase her off and kiss him full on the lips, hinting at a possible relationship developing for Anna and Noah.
While rehearsing for the LifeBeat concert, Noah injures his vocal cords and is unable to sing. Thanks to some quick thinking, Anna, Robin and Patrick get the real Eli Love to come and do the vocals while Noah lip syncs and plays guitar. Cooperating, the doctor and the rocker pull off a performance of "Who Killed Rock and Roll," a song by portrayer Rick Springfield that is now available on iTunes.
