Eli Attie

Eli Attie is a writer and political operative. He served as chief speechwriter for then-Vice President Al Gore from 1997 until Gore's concession of the 2000 election, and before that worked for President Bill Clinton and House Democratic Leader Dick Gephardt.
He is currently a co-executive producer on Fox's House, a position he also held on the NBC show Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip. He also worked on the TV series The West Wing throughout its run; according to the IMDb, he was credited or jointly credited as writer of 21 episodes, serving as a producer and supervising producer in later seasons.[1]
He wrote a guest post for The Huffington Post in May 2005, and according to his biography posted at that blog, also "writes occasionally about pop music for The Washington Post and other publications."
Attie is originally from New York, where as a secondary school student he was also selected to attend Camp Rising Sun, the Louis August Jonas Foundation's international summer scholarship program.
