Elections in the Dominican Republic gives information on election and election results in the Dominican Republic.
The Dominican Republic elects on national level a head of state - the president - and a legislature. The president is elected for a four year term by the people. The Congress of the Republic (Congreso de la República) has two chambers. The Chamber of Deputies (Cámara de Diputados) has 150 members, elected for a four year term by proportional representation in each of the provinces. The Senate (Senado) has 32 members, elected for a four year term in single-seat constutuencies. The Dominican Republic has a multi-party system, with two or three strong parties and a third party that is electorally successful.
