[edit] Who Am I?
My name is Noah McCreight, and as a senior in high school I am at a pivotal time in my life. Currently I am looking into colleges that have exceptional Science (specifically physics) and (Christian) Theology Departments, as I would like to major and minor in those subjects respectively. If you know of any medium-sized college in New England that fits that description please inform me.
I guess the easiest way to describe me is to explain my life's dream and the thought behind it. I want, above all else, to advance the evolution of humanity, be it in a physical or intellectual way. I want to help the human race attain a level of being where an outside observer would look upon us and say, "Hmm, isn't that something, they really know how to handle themselves." This follows in the general strain of the whole idea of helping people. While I strongly support and advocate helping others in need and it is indeed one of my goals in life, my way of thinking is heavily influenced by my interest in science, and as such I would like to be able to contribute some scientific discovery to the world that not only advances the state of academia but can also be administered to the general population of the world to improve the status quo and the general quality of life.
The other factor in my life that is the major driving force behind my behavior and thought, more so than my interest in science, is my belief in the Christian faith. I am very strong in my convictions, and my entire moral and ethical framework is based upon my readings of the Old and New Testaments. Personally I enjoy reading the Pauline Epistles, such as the books of Romans and Corinthians, and along with the four Gospels I try to use these books as the guidelines by which I lead my life. However, my interest in theology extends beyond my religion, indeed beyond my own philisophical viewpoint. I enjoy learning about any religion, any creed, and any philosophy, be it monotheistic or polytheistic.
That's a rough idea of who I am.
