Largest gannet colony in the world? I have heard this claim contested by several other places including the Bass Rock. --MacRusgail 15:33, 9 November 2005 (UTC)

[edit] When did the Great Auk become extinct?

The great auk article suggests 3rd July 1844, but this article suggests 4th June 1844. Can anyone please come up with a source for this? DavidFarmbrough 12:27, 17 May 2006 (UTC)
