Eldorado dos Carajás massacre

The Eldorado dos Carajás massacre happened in April 17, 1996 in Eldorado dos Carajás, in southern Pará, Brazil. The police opened fire in a manifestation killing 19 landless peasants from the MST. Other two victims died from the wounds some years later.
It happened after a similar massacre in August 9, 1995 in Corumbiara, Rondônia, which left 11 dead.
